A Pretty Good FIT.

I was finally able to get my hands on the Maybelline Fit Me Stick Foundation. I am in the shade 120 Classic Ivory. I had been dyyyyyying to try this foundation out after watching Goss Makeup's video. I was browsing around at my local Target, and I dove in and bought it for $6.99 + tax.

I know I definitely do not need anymore foundation or BB cream, but I'm seriously always on the hunt for the next best thing for my skin. I'll try almost everything to achieve that no makeup makeup for my complexion.

This foundation has a really strange texture. I was a little off put by it because it doesn't give you much time to blend out the product with a brush. My favorite way to apply this foundation is with my fingers; the warmth from my hands really helped to blend the foundation into my skin. I loved the way it felt on my skin, it really feels like second skin--not cake face. The color choices are vast, however just looking at the product in the casing, it looks a lot lighter than it actually is once it's on the skin.

As far as coverage, the Fit Me Stick foundation did a pretty decent job of evening out my skin tone. It doesn't completely cover my hyper pigmentation, but the foundation + my Makeup Forever ProFinish powder covered up just about everything. The longevity of the product is pretty decent. It didn't last as long as a lot of my BB creams, however for such a weightless foundation I couldn't complain too much.

All in all, I would suggest this product for those with combination skin, but not for someone that has dry skin or just oily skin. I noticed that it tended to cling to dry patches on my skin. It's a good affordable item to use when you're in a rush or if you want something very simple to use.

I would rate this 8/10.

L'Oreal Stained.

It's always dangerous when I find myself roaming the beauty section of drugstores. I tell myself that I definitely don't need anymore makeup, and that I should use up all of the products that I have at home. BUT, it's just so difficult to resist!

I found myself perusing the L'Oreal section at my local Rite Aid. I originally got trapped into that section because my mom needed me to buy her a new mascara. When I saw that L'Oreal was having a Buy One Get One 50% Off sale, I validated to myself that this was the perfect reason for me to finally try the L'Oreal Colour Riche Caresse Aqua Laquer Lipgloss (lipgloss stain) that I had been eyeing for the past couple months.

I debated between trying Coral Tattoo or Pink Rebellion. However, Pink Rebellion was sold out, so I opted for Coral Tattoo. Of course, as always I swatched it in my car and even applied some before running into work. I definitely have to say that I like the product; it does have a weird texture when first applied, but it's nothing I can't live past. As far as the color, it's 10% coral and 90% red, at least on my lips. The stain looked like a vibrant red, but when I applied it the next day with a thinner coat, a slightly more coral shade showed.

As much as I know I shouldn't buy more lip products, I really want to pick up Pink Rebellion and Rose On And On. I definitely love my pink shades! And how perfect would they be for the summer!

MUST. RESIST.

Makeup Amigos.

This past weekend, I was lucky enough to attend The Makeup Show Los Angeles, where I finally got to meet my YouTube friends, Sarah & Connie (OnleeAmore, cyexquisite). We all had been talking through Kakao Talk for the past month about this long awaited show, and it finally happened! Sarah and I even go back to last year where we had been planning for a long time to meet or even double date, but timing just never worked out. I was so happy to meet these girls, learn more about the professional makeup industry, and also to shop. Shopping is always fun! I definitely think these friendships are special. It's not everyday you meet someone that loves beauty & fashion and talks about in front of the camera they way you do!

At The Makeup Show I had to make sure I stopped by the very large Nars booth. I picked out an eyeshadow duo in Earth Angel as well a well-known blush in Deep Throat. The Nars booth was so incredibly busy that they somehow forgot to give me the blush I had ordered. Which I was bummed about, but it's okay--saved me some money! The eyeshadow I picked up is a beautiful taupe paired with a frosty military green. I am so excited because I have a ton of neutral shades in my collection, but I do not have anything green toned. Below is a swatch of the shadows in natural lighting.

The colors are incredibly blendable and they both go very well with my Urban Decay Naked Palette. Which is my all time favorite palette.

Today, I treated myself to some coffee. I was just having one of those days where I knew I needed a pick me up! I'm wearing the shadow in the picture, but it's really hard to tell. AND I'm also wearing a hoodie...talk about "one of those days." Hehe!

Cheers to new friends!

I Curled My Hair!

I've been posting videos on YouTube collectively for about a year and half now! I mainly post beauty & fashion videos. I've posted everything from makeup tutorials to outfit of the days, but I've never posted a hair tutorial!

I've always been a little self-conscious about my ability to do hair. I definitely don't think hair is my area of expertise, it never has been. Since I was young, I never really knew how to braid (I still can't do a french braid for the life of me!) or to do any crazy hairstyles. I was quite the tomboy and always wore my hair in a ponytail.

One of my subscribers on YouTube asked me to show how I get my big wavy curls, so I thought it was due time for me to share!

Side note: I am at work and I am so hungry!...I'm always hungry. Haha!

Winter Round Two.

For the past few days in Los Angeles, it has been super cold. Definitely not east coast cold, but colder than it usually is during February. A coworker of mine says it's because of the cold fronts coming from Alaska. We have wind coming from ALASKA! How cool is that? No pun intended.

Anywho, since last year or so, I've been saying to my boyfriend how I really want one of those sporty, poofy jackets. The ones that make you look about 15 lbs. heavier. Whenever I see people wearing them (i.e. my boyfriend) they look so incredibly warm. The only jackets I have are fashion jackets, coats, or hoodies. I want a "The North Face" type of jacket that has like goose feathers in it or something. Haha, or something that keeps the heat insulated close to my freezing body.

The only thing is that they're soooo expensive. I went to Marshall's today, hoping that many of them would be on sale since we're quickly approaching spring. However, they only had 3 regular priced Calvin Klein puffy jackets in hot pink or orange. I loved the hot pink--it definitely is eye catching. It was in a size small, which fit perfectly. As I was getting all excited and preparing myself to shell out $70 (half the price of retail), I noticed that all three jackets had a bizarre, almost denim like stain on the sleeves. I didn't want to risk buying it and the stain not coming out.

I am still on the hunt for a good quality sporty, puffy jacket without the $200 pricetag.

Sidenote: The correct term for the jacket is "puffer jacket." But somehow puffy jacket just sounds cooler. Haha.
